How has technology changed your job?
Exponentially!
Writing a picture book? Even a handful of years ago was so hard to format. I had to learn Adobe and fast, but there WAS Adobe. So there’s that.
This morning I needed to draw an egret and needed to see a picture of one to draw its legs and feet. Google, one second.
Everything is easier with technology. Canva? Being an artist is so much easier with cameras on our phones, the internet, even social media…

this get’s funny. After I read your blog and answered, I just started rewatching Redford and Hoffman in All the President’s Men. I used to freelance for about a decade, and spent a lot of time in a few newrooms and television studios, and radio stations….and that newsroom at the Washington Post made me think, wow, how have things changed, copywriters, typewriters – can you imagine writing a blog on a typewriter, and having to use whiteout? – the number of people in those offices and rooms……now anyone with a blog can write, a iPhone can create a live article….I arranged all my interviews on phone…faxes, videos on SVHS and 3 inch videotape….Betacam videos, yep, times have changed…..
