What makes a good neighbor?

Kindness

In words, in gestures, in patience, in compassion, with love. One blogger suggested we give our neighbors lots of chances to warm up and feel comfortable enough to wave. We just don’t know what others are going through. Lots of chances sounds generous and loving. I like picturing these chance-giving neighbors.

  1. I spoke to a neighbour for the first time recently, since I moved here 5 years ago. He lives across the road. I thought he’d think of me as ignorant as I’d only ever said “hi”. He just thought I was a busy guy!!
    You’re right, he didn’t know what I’d been dealing with, but he didn’t hold it against me and we’re good friends now.
    It’s never too late.
